The rapture is an event that will take place sometime in the near future. Jesus will come in the air, catch up the Church from the earth, and then return to heaven with the Church. The Apostle Paul gave a clear description of the rapture event in his letters to the Thessalonians and Corinthians. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
Used by permission of Zondervan Publishing House. I also encountered an old acquaintance recently who was interested in Biblical prophecy and end times but never believed in the pre-trib rapture.
They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. Obviously, Jesus returns simultaneously with the signs in the sun, moon, and stars in verse There was a great earthquake.
The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, 13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.
The solution is found in Revelation. Yet, some people have been confused over the following verse, concerning the multitude in heaven with palm branches. Seals give a brief history of the Jews, during the last years, which includes two year periods for proof.
Seal 5 is just a waiting period for spreading the gospel, which is where we are now. When you say it like that, it exposes whether a post-trib is trying to over-lap the Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls, in Revelation, which cannot be done.
Besides the fact that the Seals are in the past, over-lapping is wrong because it introduces contradictions, which forces some things to be omitted, which is expressly forbidden by God.
Thus, the rapture is very simple to explain when the Seals are understood to be in the past. He tells them twice to flee immediately, without going back to get anything from their house, so the distress is coming fast.
I think the earthquake triggers a tsunami, which is why they are told to run for the mountains. Running for the mountains after the abomination covers the 6th Seal earthquake, which is not listed in Matt Yet, that shows why the abomination and rapture happen together. Does that prove anything for the post-tribs?
I mean, the disciples never really understood that Jesus had to be crucified and resurrected until after it had happened. It would have been premature and confusing to give details of Revelation that happen after the rapture. I agree that most of Matthew 24 is chronological but verses back up to the abomination and happen right after the Jews run to the mountains, which is why they see the Lamb, from the mountains, in Revelation 6: That way, Matthew 24 agrees with Rev 7.
After all, the rest of Matthew 24 after verse 31 is not chronological so why should post-tribs be so adamant about keeping verses in sequence, and in the process, over-lapping major parts of Revelation? Why is this so important?
All pre-tribs know that Jesus will appear in the sky so anyone on earth is automatically disqualified. On the contrary, teaching post-tribulation is dangerous because re-arranging and overlapping Revelation inevitably leaves some things out, which is forbidden by God.
Anyone who is trying to teach end times should know that warning and avoid manipulating Revelation because the consequence is tragic.
To prove anything to an atheist, you would first have to prove that the Bible is real. If an atheist was open-minded and checked for themselves, they could see that only God could proclaim a summary of events, years ago, and then make it happen.
Disproving the old theories A. The multitude of Christians are in heaven in Revelation 7 after the 6th Seal rapturenot in chapter 4. Additionally, the elders are mentioned as themselves in Revelation 7: The signs in the sun, moon, and stars, in Seal 6, perfectly match the rapture gathering in Matthew *Note: The word "Tribulation" is never specifically used in Scripture to designate the last 7 years, Daniel's 70th week, but will be used in these notes because the term is so firmly entrenched in.
Defending The Pre-trib Rapture Published on: July 19, December 4, by [email protected] Category: Pretribulation Rapture, Todd Strandberg After reading countless messages and articles that attack the pre-trib rapture, I’ve noticed a certain number of arguments that are repeatedly sent to me.
As I look at the events of the world today, and the stage being set for the coming Antichrist, I personally believe that the Pretribulation Rapture is near, i.e., the Rapture will precede the 7-year Tribulation Period.
Seals are explained logically in the past, with Seal 6 matching the rapture, correcting Revelation's Timeline w/ no contradictions.
Simple Conclusion By identifying the rapture in Revelation as the 6 th Seal and proving the timeline to be sequential, the ‘pre-tribulation’ rapture is proven and the period that most people call the ‘tribulation’ is actually the Trumpets and Bowls. Dec 29, · The gathering of the elect in Matt.
(after the great tribulation) has to be the rapture because the chapter is a discussion of the parousia of Jesus, and St. Paul said in I Thess that the parousia of Jesus is the time of the rapture.
